Often as a referral, a nurse will evaluate new clients to help determine what tools may be needed to help them maintain that independence, acting as an assistive device. 

A full house evaluation -  especially targeting potential fall hotspots such as a home’s entry, the bathroom, and the bedroom - can help determine which tools can best assist clients. For example, bath chairs or benches can help clients with tasks as simple, yet as vital, as having a bath. 

We promote you being as independent as possible, augmenting what services family members are able to provide. 

In addition to offering a respite for caregivers, one of the biggest benefits of home healthcare is providing companionship to clients, easing the loneliness that often comes with aging.
